Invitation to the Next Virtual Ethical Innovation Lecture (VEIL)
Sarah Wadmann & Klaus Høyer feat. Ingrid Schneider — “The Life and Death of Confidentiality"
Dear reader,
the Ethical Innovation Hub would like to invite you to the next “Virtual Ethical Innovation Lecture”, or “VEIL”. As per usual, you will be offered a bite-sized online presentation followed by a Q&A session focussing on tech & ethics.
This next VEIL will be lifted on June 13, 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 (CEST/UTC+2). We will be hosting Sarah Wadmann of the Danish Center for Social Science Research, and Klaus Høyer of the University of Copenhagen. Ingrid Schneider of Hamburg University will comment and join the discussion. Are you interested data sharing and protection issues in health? Then this is a very good opportunity to see Sarah Wadmann and Klaus Høyer talk about how “The Life and Death of Confidentiality" with a focus on the Danish perspective (where health care is already highly digitalized). Ingrid Schneider, who has been co-leading the recent opinion paper on the provision of health data for research (in German) of the Central Ethics Committee of the German Medical Association (Zentrale Ethikkommission bei der Bundesärztekammer), will comment from a German perspective.
